NO. I don’t want to understand YOU because it’s what you ‘usually do’. If it’s wrong, FIX it! And if nobody’s telling you it’s wrong, I’m surely gonna do it.

The number of people who think they know something about my country just based on some news on media really amazed me.

If you never stayed in my country, never explore the 18,000 islands, never saw the diverse background of our 250 million people, never feed the poor in my country, never send Indonesian children to school, never provide jobs for Indonesian people: then shut the fuck up.

You don’t know shit about my country, let alone what’s happened inside it. With all our limitation and life challenges, we tried our best living quality and peaceful life as an individual and as a part of society. It is SELFISH for you to push your specific cause to us, just because you think it’s the RIGHT thing for you, and you think we don’t do better on your FLAWED standard.

If you think the only way to protest is by showing some banners on the street or by literally rising voice: THINK again.

If ALL you do is checking numbers, in the end, all you get is just a soul-less NUMBERS.

DON’T ask about a competitor to ME. ASK THEM for God’s sake.

I MIND my OWN BUSINESS.

This is going to be harsh.

If you’re a technical person who know all the security flaws and what could happen in this insecure wide web: KEEP IT to YOURSELF and your CLIENTS.

I DON’T want to hear all rants about your difficulties to trust a system or people because it’s so ‘not safe out there’. Let me live my life with certain perspective that I CHOOSE.

IF by dealing with lots of shit from your work make you paranoid and keep being negative about things: GET a GRIP. Spare some fresh air for people who want to see the bright side of life.

THAT’S ALL.

*I’m really UPSET with lots of people coming from IT background especially in security, who’s being very negative about things in the past few days. I’m an IT person myself, and I don’t know where’s this attitude coming from. And of course I’m directly affected by this attitude and I’m really upset. See, I said ‘upset’ third time in one paragraph, I must be really upset. Now it’s four*

Iqra of the day

What! do you think that you will be left alone while Allah has not yet known those of you who have struggled hard and have not taken any one as an adherent besides Allah and His Messenger and the believers; and Allah is aware of what you do.

QS 9:16

About Love

Someone told me that as long as a guy doesn’t cheat, doesn’t smack you, doesn’t drink and doesn’t gamble, you must STICK with him. Really? I don’t believe in that bullshit. This is giving up on the fullness of life. Don’t stick with people just because they don’t do shit. What if they don’t do all that but they ignore you? They don’t give you the attention you need? They don’t stimulate your brain and make you dream higher? They don’t even talk to you? You want to stay miserable and loving someone who doesn’t love you back in the way that you needed to be?

Stick with people who really loves you, who adores you. Stick with people who you love.  The kind of love that make you unable to hold yourself into doing something stupid. The kind of love that moves you. The kind of love that grows you.

The kind of love that so simple, as simple as the comfort of a shelter, that arrives as soon as his face floats on your wandering mind.

Jakarta is a city of hardwork and struggle. We found story of life in every corner of this insomnia city. Within couple of days, I met a mom who must worry on where to sleep at night on top of thinking about how to feed her children, a little girl who left alone to beg, a young guy selling fried food in the street for years, a mom working as a shopkeeper for more than 12 years, eyes met with a guy who collect used boxes to sell at a very little price per kg, or simply watching the endless traffic jam that can trap Jakartan for more than 8 hours a day on the street.
Jakarta is a tough city. It’s not for someone with a weak heart. Jakarta has teach us one or two ways to survive. To not complaining over small stuff. To laugh on our difficulties. To wish people luck, because we need it too.
Cheers to my Jakarta.
